July 12, 2021: The U.S. Senate has confirmed Faisal Amin as Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Most recently Deputy Director of the Office of Administration in the Executive Office of the President, Mr. Amin has served as Senior Attorney at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer in the Executive Office of the President under President Obama and has served in the Office of the Vice President of the United States as Deputy Assistant to the President / Deputy Chief of Staff to the Vice President, and as Administration Director / Associate Counsel for Fiscal Law. He earned an AB in history at the University of California at Berkeley and a JD at the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law. Upon swearing in, Amin succeeded acting CFO David Bloom.
