Dr. David Mussington

March 2, 2021: Dr. David Mussington now serves as the Executive Assistant Director for Infrastructure Security at the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In this role, Mussington helps lead CISA’s efforts to secure the nation’s critical infrastructure in coordination with the government and private sector. He was most recently Professor and Director of the Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise for the University of Maryland. His government work includes serving as a Senior Advisor for Cyber Policy at the Department of Defense, and with President Obama’s National Security Council staff as Director for Surface Transportation Security Policy.
