May 18, 2021: CSM. Julie Saorrono is the new Command Sergeant Major for the US Army Contracting Command. She succeeds CSM. Jill Crosby in the position. CSM. Saorrono is the sixth Command Sergeant Major for the U.S. Army Contracting Command. She entered the Army in 1995 and attended basic training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC. Upon graduation, she was awarded the MOS 75DIO, Human Resource Specialist. In May 2008, she re-classified and was awarded the MOS 51C Contracting NCO. CSM. Saorrono has held numerous leadership positions throughout her career, including Command Sergeant Major, 408th Contracting Support Brigade, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Army Contracting Command Operations NCO, Redstone Arsenal Alabama, and Command Sergeant Major, 414th Contracting Support Brigade, Vicenza, Italy, among others. She holds a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification and Project Management Level I. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Contracting Management from Trident University.
